Harris, a 6-time Tony Award Winner (5 Competitive, 1 Lifetime Achievement), 3-time Emmy Winner & Oscar nominee, passed away on August 24th, 2013. She was 87.


The brilliant actress played such real-life ladies as Emily Dickinson, Joan of Arc, Mary Todd Lincoln, Susan B. Anthony, Florence Nightingale, Queen Victoria and Charlotte Bronte.

Her first love was the stage, but Harris also made her mark on film and TV.

Le 24 août,cela a fait un an que Julie Harris s'en est allée . Comment ne pas rendre hommage à cette grande actrice?A travers cette vidéo,on mesure tout le talent de cette formidable comédienne.

Madame Harris, on ne vous oublie pas et grâce à la magie du cinéma et de la télévision,vous serez à jamais présente dans la mémoire collective des fans de Côte Ouest et de votre impressionnant palmarès.

Mère et fille partagent un moment de complicité et une bonne tranche de rigolade pendant que Valène fait une permanente à cette chère Lilimae.

                               Durant sa vie,Julie Harris a dû faire face à de graves ennuis de santé . 

Celle qui restera à jamais cette chère Lilimae a survécu en 1981 à un cancer du sein . En 1999,une grave blessure à la tête a nécessité  une intervention chirurgicale ,puis en 2001   un accident vasculaire cérébral lui laissa une gêne dans son élocution et  ses fonctions motrices.(En 2006,elle est appararue dans"The Way Back Home"et joue une femme ayant eut un AVC.)

Lorsqu'elle a commencé à jouer dans "Côte ouest",Julie Harris  se remettait tout juste d'un cancer du sein et d'une mastectomie .Elle dit à ce sujet que  son combat contre la maladie eut un coût et regretta de ne pas avoir eu plus d'enfants!
