Viral videos, YouTube confessions and web series a’plenty—oh my! Today, online entertainment is shot, uploaded and broadcasted out into the worldwide web without much thought. But few web shows boast the heart and drama that we’ve come to love and expect from great television and film.

The new web series Fumbling Thru The Pieces breaks that mold—an online entertainment offering about to enter its second season. The theme behind Fumbling is simple: “Every day we fumble through our experiences growing from our successes and failures, but just when you think you have it all figured out, think again!”

The plot has all the drama we’ve come to crave from the soaps of yesteryear. Are you ready for the backstory? Jesse leaves her husband to live with her sister Ellie in Burbank, who recently let the rat race of the corporate world to “find herself,” as she deals with her blue collar husband Vince and—well, that’s only the goings-ons of three of the many characters you’ll meet in Fumbling. Things get hysterically complicated really fast!

Nominated for a slew of awards (Official Selection of the Hollyweb Festival and the L.A. Web Series Festival, as well as an Indie Soap Awards nomination) this season has a slew of surprises in store. We sat down with Michele Lee, an actress guest-starring on the show (Eleanor, mother to the characters who star in the show) to discuss the upcoming season and the tight-lipped behind-the-scenes gossip!

Fumbling Thru The Pieces “sets its aim at the truth and the comedy in living personal journeys.” What does that mean to you?
Telling the truth as you see it on any day, fumbling through the pieces. That means truth can change.

The show is on the web—and is a successful one at that.
I don’t like talking about awards but I am very proud to be respected by peers. The pleasure in my career is having people want to see me, or there aren’t any awards to start with.

Tease us. What can we expect in the coming season?
I cannot tell you what will happen this season but it will be fun. That is a promise.

    What’s it like on set?
There was so much fun on the set that it didn’t feel like work. Many times I would just watch the actors and laugh—then apologize.

    Any gossip for us?
I have so much gossip to tell you but I am taking it to my grave—except that “she” went with “him” into “that place” and “he” left crying after “he” found someone undressed in “his” dressing room!

How about working with Jason Stewart? He’s long been a comedy mover-and-shaker in SoCal.
I love Jason Stewart! I have watched him many years [but] we haven’t worked together in a scene—yet.

Your career has had some stellar gay moments! We remember you from Will & Grace back in 2005. Tell us about that experience.
I loved doing Will & Grace, working with that cast and, of course, Chita Rivera! Oh my God!

And then Love Boat, Knots Landing, Fantasy Island—all our favorites! Got any gossip for us?
I am still very close to my Knots friends. It really is like family. No gossip—there!
